Such an interesting tour. The guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and cleverly explained the history of Rome. The Colosseum was epic and definitely had the ‘wow’ factor. A very worthwhile experience.

Itinerary

Walk in the footsteps of giants on this guided tour through the heart of the Roman Empire. Travel back in time as you visit these icons of Roman architecture. Delve deep into Rome’s long history as your experienced guide shares stories from the minute to the magnificent.

Contemplate the genius that took the Colosseum from concept to reality in 70/80 AD, centuries before modern engineering. This was once the most famous meeting place in the world holding 50,000-80,000 spectators. Inside, breathe in the Colosseum’s bloody past brought to life again by your guide.

Leaving the Colosseum, you'll see the magnificent Arch of Constantine before arriving at the excavated ruins of the Roman Forum archaeological site, where many structures remain intact to this day.

On Palatine Hill, you’ll learn about the legend of Romulus and Remus. One legend suggests this is how Rome was named for Romulus.

The tour ends at the Colosseum. Explore the area further or make your own way back to your accommodation.
