It was a really good tour, taken to see the key objects in the museum - Letizia was very knowledgeable! Thank you! Only constructive points are Tour overran a little and instructions to find guide a little tricky to understand (ie meeting place was in the square and a bit too much hanging around at the start)

No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to the Vatican Museums. These galleries contain some of the most famous works of art in the world, including works by artists including Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Raphael and Giotto.
The 54th gallery of the Vatican Museums is the famed Sistine Chapel. Completed around 1483, the Sistine Chapel is arguably the most famous chapel in the world due to its famous frescoes including the ceiling and The Final Judgement by Michelangelo. The chapel is also still used for religious purposes such as the Papal Conclave – the process through which a new Pope is chosen.
The tour ends in St Peter’s Square.

- Meeting point: Bar Caffetteria L’Ottagono, Piazza del Risorgimento (400m from Metro A Line, Ottaviano stop) 30 minutes before the start of your tour (please look for the pink flag with the I Love Rome logo carried by our staff).
- Tours with pick-up (optional cost): if you have booked a pick-up, please email [email protected] or call 39 06 474 2501 at least 24 hours before your tour starts to confirm your pick-up time. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before the assigned time.
We inform our guests that, due to health and safety measures for Covid-19, the door that connects the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter’s Basilica will not be accessible until further notice. The guide will provide you a comprehensive explanation of the Basilica from the outside.
