Itinerary

Rome is always special, but on Chrismas Day the Eternal City has an even more magical touch to it. Lights, decorations, good vibes. Gray Line Rome offers an exclusive tour on this day that will allow you to admire the most beautiful momuments in Rome in the morning, a unique and romantic atmosphere culminating in St. Peter's Square for a much-awaited event: the Ubi et Orbi Papal blessing.

The tour's guide will first take you to Piazza Navona and explain its peculiar past. Then, you will enjoy a nice walk through the streets of the Capital and reach the amazing Pantheon (built in 118–128 AD), one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings, mainly because it has been in continuous use along its history. From there burst out in Piazza di Trevi, where the majestic Trevi Fountain beautifully stands. Don't forget to throw in a coin to guarantee yourself to return to Rome soon.

End the tour in the huge St. Peter's Square. From the loggia balcony of the Basilica's facade, the Pope addresses the crowd with the typical the Ubi et Orbi Papal blessing. Through it the Roman Catholic Church grants full indulgence, by the willful grace and intent of the Pope himself, to those who devoutly receive the blessing, that the Pope imparts "urbi et orbi", meaning "to the city of Rome and to the entire World".
