Travel south through the Italian countryside and enjoy a scenic drive along the stunning coastal landscapes. The first stop of the day is Sorrento, a charming town overlooking the sea. Here, you will have free time to explore its picturesque streets, browse local artisan shops, and take in the breathtaking views. An included limoncello tasting at a local producer will introduce you to one of the region’s most famous traditions.

After the visit to Sorrento, continue towards Pompeii, where you will receive your included entrance ticket for a fascinating independent tour of the archaeological site. Walk through ancient streets, discover houses, temples, and shops, and learn about daily life in Roman times before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. At the end of your visit, join the rest of the group and relax on the return journey to Rome, arriving in the evening after a day rich in culture, history, and scenic beauty.

Depart from Rome and head directly through the Italian countryside towards Pompeii, with a brief stop along the way before arriving at the site. This itinerary is designed for travelers who wish to enjoy a more focused and in-depth archaeological experience.

Upon arrival, receive your included entrance ticket and enjoy an extended self-paced visit of approximately 2.5 hours inside the Pompeii Archaeological Site. Explore remarkably preserved streets, villas, frescoes, and public buildings, and gain a deeper understanding of the daily life of ancient Rome. The absence of additional stops allows for a more immersive and uninterrupted exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After lunch (not included), your coach will be departing for Rome. You will return in the late afternoon, with a richer and more in-depth appreciation of Pompeii’s extraordinary history
