What a nice day in Florence! Our tour was well planned and organized with helpful staff and guides. We appreciated the balance of group time and free time to explore the city. Our travel on the train was enjoyable as well. The only challenge was the crowds at the museum Uffuzi however that is unavoidable during high tourist season. Overall we had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend the tour to others seeking a day trip from Rome to Florence.

Overall good experience. The walk thru the Uffli museum was crowed and rushed. We waited about an hour to get in.

Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel and a short ride to Roma Termini railway station, where you'll be checked in and escorted onto the train by one of our friendly travel assistants. They'll share insider tips and information to help get you in the mood for your day-trip to Florence.

Once you arrive in Florence, your assistant will accompany you to the meeting point of the guided walking tour, which starts in Piazza del Duomo. Here, a local guide will share the city's fascinating history and cultural highlights, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Campanile, the Florence Baptistery, Piazza della Repubblica, the Church and Museums of Orsanmichele, the Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Signoria.

Next, it's time to head to the world-famous Uffizi Gallery, where you'll skip the line and have the chance to admire some of the most iconic artworks in history. Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, Caravaggio's Medusa, Artemisia Gentileschi's Judith Beheading Holofernes, Titian's Venus of Urbino, and countless other masterpieces by the likes of Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael await you. Your local guide will contextualize their origins and share fascinating stories about each piece, revealing their secrets and helping you appreciate them on a whole new level.

After your visit, you'll have plenty of free time to explore the city at your leisure and grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant or bar (not included in the price). Then, you'll meet your assistant at the designated time and head back to the train station for a cozy ride back to Rome in the late afternoon.

Overall, this semi-private guided tour to Florence and the Uffizi Gallery by high-speed train is the perfect way to experience one of Italy's most beautiful and culturally rich cities in a fun and informative way. Don't miss out on this unforgettable day-trip!
